How this projection works

We start from the current Premier League standings and play out every remaining fixture 10,000 times. For the 19 upcoming matches that already have a Goalytics AI prediction we use the model's win/draw/loss probabilities; for the rest of the season we estimate each team's attacking and defensive strength from goals scored and conceded so far, adjusted for home advantage. Projected points are the average across all simulations, and the percentages show how often each team finished as champion, in the top 4 or in the bottom 3. The projection refreshes every few hours as results and predictions update.
